What is the Law of Attraction?

You have probably heard the saying “your thoughts create your reality”. According to the Law of Attraction, our thoughts are only half of the equation. The other half is our emotion.

The Law of Attraction operates on the truth that our thoughts and emotions directly affect our life experiences, including our ability to manifest our goals and desires. How does the Law of Attraction and Manifestation work?


We have two kinds of emotions:

Our emotions (which are often influenced by our thoughts) basically fall under two categories: emotions that feel good and emotions that don’t feel good. We tend to label them as positive or good (the emotions that DO feel good) and negative or bad (the emotions that DON’T feel good).

There is a magnetic energy attached to our thoughts and emotions:

Imagine that everything in this world is made up of energy and carries a magnetic vibration, including our thoughts and emotions.

It is as if our thoughts and emotions emit a magnetic frequency attracting to us other things, situations, experiences or people that are vibrating on the same frequency (i.e. like attracts like).

Thru the Law of Attraction and Manifestation we attract what we focus our thoughts and emotions on (or something similar), whether we want it or not.

While our thoughts and emotions are like a powerful magnet, they are also much like a boomerang because what we put out there comes right back to us.

Different emotions vibrate at different frequencies:

  • Emotions that make us feel good vibrate at a high frequency
    (examples: Joy, Love, Passion, Enthusiasm, etc).
  • Emotions that don’t feel good vibrate at a low frequency
    (examples: Anger, Envy, Guilt, Fear, etc).

The frequency that we are putting out there into the universe (based on what we are thinking and feeling) will attract whatever is vibrating at the same frequency. In other words, whether we are feeling emotions that are infused with high or low vibrations, their frequencies go out into the universe and draw back to us experiences, situations, people or things that match, mirror and amplify what we are feeling (“positive” or “negative”/”good” or “bad”). As a result our life experiences become a reflection of our thoughts and emotions.
